In the summer, the high temperatures are shocking. In July and August, practically every single day, the temperature went into the triple digits. That’s not just hot, that’s potentially dangerously hot. However, what’s often overlooked is how high the “low” temperature can get, too. As we live in the desert, it’s normal to think that the temperature would drop precipitously to a nighttime low. These past couple of months, though, it’s rarely dipped below 80, let alone 70. That can make the nights hot, too. Our air conditioning service can be there for you at any time, day or night.
AC Service that’s Always There
Here at Air Pro Master, we are a genuine 24-hour service. That means you can call us at any time, no matter how early or late, and we can get there to you as quickly as possible. Whether you see the sun, moon or stars in the sky, our air conditioning experts can hurry to your location and get right to work fixing your air conditioning. Once we arrive, we perform a thorough examination of your air conditioner, figure out what’s wrong, and how we can help.
While we do get to your location as quickly as we can, we can’t exactly teleport. Depending on where you are in relation to our location, it may take us a moment to get to you. We’re often asked: “what can we do in the interim when the air conditioning isn’t working?” There are always some small things you can do while you wait for us to arrive. None of these are foolproof, and they certainly are no substitution for having an air conditioning expert to your location, but they can help with keeping your home just a little bit cooler until the cavalry arrives.
What to Do With Windows
If your air conditioning goes out in the middle of the day, it can essentially wreck your day. For those who planned on being in their home, or working at their office, when the AC goes out, it can make it hard to stay there and do anything even remotely productive. So many of our customers are looking for some way to stay in a location without air conditioning, that they’ll try lots of different things. Of course, the first thing someone might think to do is open the windows. This makes sense: it’s too hot inside, open the windows and let the air in. That’s sensible. It’s also, unfortunately, wrong.
The problem I that when you let in whatever air is outside, that’s not all that you let in. You also let in the sun and even more heat. We may not think of windows as something that keeps the sun out, but they do. They certainly keep more of the sun out than an open window would. Combining that with the heat from the outside can actually make it hotter. Besides, this is Las Vegas during the hottest summer months: there really isn’t going to be much breeze coming in from the outside. If it’s during the middle of the day, you will probably want to keep the windows closed.
On top of that, you might want to draw the blinds, too. This is counterintuitive, as it seems like it might make it hotter inside. However, even if you don’t have blackout blinds, regular blinds can do a bit of work in keeping the heat and sun’s rays out. It should be noticed that this advice is for if your air conditioner goes down during the middle of the day when the sun is high in the sky. If it’s at night, by all means, open the curtains. With the sun gone, you have a far better chance of catching a breeze, and you won’t have to worry about the sun’s heat.
Air Pro Master: On Our Way
When you contact us, we go over what the problem might be with you, and then we get in the vehicle and head over. In the interim, we always recommend staying hydrated. Ice packs, cold water and fans, ceiling or otherwise: as an alternative to an air conditioner or air conditioning service, they’re woefully inadequate. As a way to cope with a lack of air conditioning while Air Pro Master races to your location, they can do a bit to keep you cool until the pros arrive.
No matter what the problem is with your air conditioning, we can find a solution for it. That might mean fixing your air conditioner. It could also mean replacing your old unit with a newer unit so that you don’t have air conditioning problems going forward. We can provide air conditioning service at any budget. When you need us, call us at (702) 598-4174.
