No one wants to think about life without an air conditioner. It’s hot enough as it is, even with properly working air conditioning. It’s normal to think of your air conditioner as something that’s always going to be there and you can always count on it. Eventually, (not to ruin anyone’s day here) your air conditioning will break down. Hopefully, it doesn’t happen anytime soon, but on a long enough timeline, all air conditioners will stop working. That doesn’t mean that you’ll immediately have to get a new air conditioner, however. Our repair or AC replacement can help you to figure out the best way to get your air conditioning back to where it should be.
Deciding on an AC Renewal
We’ve found that some people aren’t 100% sure of when they need to have their air conditioning replacement. Obviously, the clear sign is that your air conditioning has stopped working. That’s may be the most obvious sign, but it’s not the only one. We would like to suggest that if your air conditioning has stopped working you don’t put off getting it checked out. No one sets out time in their busy schedule for “air conditioner maintenance,” so we understand that it can be a bit of a pain.
However, air conditioning really isn’t the kind of thing that fixes itself. The moment your air conditioner has stopped providing the kind of high-quality service that you’ve come to expect, call our service. We’ll be out there as quickly as possible.
“As quickly as possible” is important. The sooner we can get to your air conditioning, the more we might be able to salvage from it. After all, on the question of “repair vs replacement,” we always are on the side of “repair.” We see replacing your air conditioning as a last resort. That’s why we’ll do everything we can to keep your air conditioning working properly before we make the call to get it replaced. Should there be no other better or less expensive option, then we’ll replace your air conditioning. However, before we get to that point, we’ll do everything we can to repair your current unit.
Other Signs That Your AC Needs Help
For many malfunctioning air conditioners, the clearest sign that it might need some help isn’t that it has stopped blowing cold air. You should be concerned if it has been doing the opposite: blowing hot air. We’ve had so many customers over the years who tell us some version of “I didn’t know that my air conditioner needed to be repaired. I just thought it was blowing hot air because it was so hot outside and that it eventually was going to start blowing cold air.” Sure, that might be the case for like, thirty seconds or so. But after a couple of minutes, if your air conditioner is blowing warm or even hot air from the vents, then it definitely needs help as quickly as possible.
This also applies if the temperature of the air conditioner goes up and down during use. Maybe it starts blowing hot air for just a few seconds but then goes back to proper operation. However, after ten minutes or so of cool air, your air conditioner might inexplicably start blowing hot air again. Even if your air conditioner returns to blowing cold air in a few moments, this is a clear sign that something could be wrong with your air conditioner. An air conditioner isn’t supposed to go through this kind of fluctuation. By addressing this problem early on, when the air conditioner still goes back to the cold air, you can maybe avoid more problems later on.
Many people have had their refrigerator begin to leak. Some of us wake up in the morning, go into the kitchen, find a bit of water on the kitchen floor that came from a refrigerator leak, and then go about our day. That doesn’t mean that there’s something grievously wrong with the refrigerator. However, it’s important not to have that same attitude when it comes to your air conditioner. If you see a refrigerant leak around your air conditioner (or really, any leak around your air conditioner) then you want to call in the professionals to fix it as soon as possible.
These leaks can include leaks from the refrigerant or compression of your air conditioner. That being said, there are problems that could arise with your air conditioner that do not manifest via leaking or blowing hot air. Sometimes the compressor freezes. That may seem like a good thing (after all, you want your air conditioner to be sufficiently cold) but if the compressor freezes, something has gone wrong. In that case, you won’t get the kind of high-quality air conditioning that you want.
Trust Your Instincts
We’ve found that most people have a good head for when their air conditioning does something it shouldn’t. You can tell if your air conditioning’s motor is running properly, but if it suddenly stops working, that’s a sign it needs help.
If you go to our site, you’ll find that we have “atypical noises” as one of the signs that your air conditioner isn’t working as it should. This asks the related question: “what kinds of noises are atypical?” Again, this is something where you want to trust your gut instincts. You know what air conditioners sound like if they’re operating properly: they have a gentle hum if they have any sound at all. So it stands to reason that if your air conditioning is making any noises that aren’t that, then those could be considered “atypical.”
To be clear, these noises don’t necessarily have to be threatening or concerning in and of themselves. Sure, if your air conditioning starts emitting a loud, piercing noise, get Air Pro Master on the phone immediately. But, even if it’s just a duller, scratchier hum, or some other noise that doesn’t automatically scream “something’s wrong,” it could still be a sign that your air conditioning is beginning to malfunction. The sooner you call our professionals, the more likely it is that we’ll be able to fix your air conditioning without having to replace it.
Renewal or Restoration, You Make the Call
At Air Pro Master, our professionals always give their best opinion. When possible, we’ll always give you options. When you contact us during an emergency, we’ll arrive at your location quickly. Then we’ll perform a thorough evaluation to figure out exactly what is going on and why. From there, we’ll give you a free estimate as well as an array of options for how to proceed with your air conditioning unit.
That can include repair or replacement. We understand that maybe not everyone has the money they would like to spend on their air conditioning. That is why we have so many different financing options available. We can sit down with you and go over each of them. That way, you can find the right one to fit your situation. There are always discounts available, too. One way or another, we want to do everything we can to help you with your air conditioning.
Of course, air conditioning isn’t everything that we offer. You can take basically everything we said in the last paragraph and replace “air conditioning” with “heating” or “plumbing” and it still holds true. When you need our help, call us at (702) 598-4174.
